Students who
dream of flying and who are in one of categories described above
will be considered eligible. References
from social workers, teachers, or other qualified sources will be
required. The candidate will be asked to provide a written statement
identifying why they want to fly.
Pilot candidates
must be willing to enter a contract that they will finish high
school; stay out of trouble (no discipline problems); maintain a
specified grade point average ("B" average grades are desired, or a
demonstrated attempt to perform at or above their capability.); and,
accept work around Peak Aviation Center for flight hours as part of
their scholarship.
First or second
year high school students are favored. Reliable transportation to
and from the airport is required.
